PianoForte LIVE Series: Michael Hawes – SONG

Michael Hawes is a Bass-Baritone Singer and Trumpet player living in Chicago, Illinois. Michael is a Music Director at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Church in Chicago, where he leads Music from the piano and organ as Cantor, Choir Director and Trumpeter. He is a member of Axiom Brass; an award winning Brass Quintet that tours the world, sharing their love of Brass Chamber Music.

Michael Hawes is a Bass-Baritone Singer and Trumpet player living in Chicago, Illinois. Michael is a Music Director at St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Church in Chicago, where he leads Music from the piano and organ as Cantor, Choir Director and Trumpeter. He is a member of Axiom Brass; an award winning Brass Quintet that tours the world, sharing their love of Brass Chamber Music. He sings frequently with Grammy nominated Clarion Choir of New York City, Crossing Choir in Philadelphia, and Seraphic Fire of Miami, and the Skylark Vocal Ensemble of Boston. As a trumpet player, he has also performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Music of the Baroque Orchestra in Chicago, and the National Symphony of Taiwan. Recent performances have taken him to Taiwan, Russia, the Dominican Republic, France, England, Canada and all across the United States. Recent recording in which Hawes sang with the PaTRAM Institute choir, the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom was nominated for a Grammy award.
