PianoForte LIVE Series: Sarah Marie Young with 90.9FM WDCB

Sarah Marie Young is an award winning singer, songwriter and musician. Appearing on the ukulele, piano, and singing, she kicks off our PianoForte series. She was a semi-finalist in the 2010 Thelonious Monk Competition and the winner of the 2011 Montreux Voice Competition, judged by Quincy Jones.

PianoForte LIVE brings our recital series into your home, virtually, through Facebook and Youtube. Limited in-person tickets are available for select concerts, but please check for availability. These dates feature a wide variety of music from classical, jazz, tango and more. Our series aims to provide you with high quality concerts without having to leave your couch! All concerts will also be posted on PianoForte Foundation’s Youtube and Facebook pages afterwards.

Sarah Marie Young is an award winning singer, songwriter and musician. She was a semi-finalist in the 2010 Thelonious Monk Competition and the winner of the 2011 Montreux Voice Competition, judged by Quincy Jones. With five albums out, Sarah has toured the world and performed at jazz and pop festivals in Brazil, France, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and her homebase of Chicago. In 2017 she was featured with Postmodern Jukebox, and in 2018 appeared on Playing For Change’s “Skin Deep” video with Buddy Guy. During the day she runs a children’s music enrichment program called Sarah’s Music Room.
