Christian Wachter: Piano Recital

Christian Wachter, born in Palo Alto, California, began piano studies at the age of eight in the town of Bludenz, Austria at the local music school. As a young child he played in concerts and in competitions, a radio program and with orchestra. At the age of 15, Christian studied in the preparatory cycle at the University of Vienna with Prof. Jan Jiracek.

He completed his academic «diplôme supérieur de sixième exécution» at École Normale Cortot in Paris under the guidance of Réna Shereshevskaya and Nelson Delle Vigne.

Christian has attended master class by Anne Quéffelec, Naum Gruber, Bernd Glemser, Vera Gornostayeva, Jean Philippe Collard, Jerome Lowenthal, Nicole Simon Larroche and Alexander Jenner. He continues working under the guidance of Gabriella Torma.

Since his studies he has played as a soloist and in chamber music in festivals in France and especially Paris, Russia, USA (under the baton of Philippe Entremont) and Spain, as well as concerts in Austria, Belgium, Italy, Lithuania, Liechtenstein and Israel.
