Myra Hinrichs, Nicholas Jeffery, Kelly Quesada, and Christopher Narloch will perform Morton Feldman’s “Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello.”

After graduating from Oberlin College and Conservatory in violin performance, Myra Hinrichs moved to Chicago, where she teaches at several community music schools. Myra is a founding member of Chartreuse and Houndstooth, and also is a member of a.periodic and Morton Feldman Chamber Players. She also performs with the Madison Symphony and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She has attended the Aspen Music Festival and School, National Orchestral Institute, Mimir Chamber Music Festival, National Repertory Orchestra, and Spoleto Festival USA.

Nicholas Jeffery received his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2010 where his main teacher was Sally Chisholm. He spent many summers as a fellowship student at the Aspen Music Festival, serving two summers as the violist in the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble. He has also attended the Atlantic Music Festival in Waterville, ME, the Opera Theater and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy, Interlochen, and the Encore School for Strings. As a performer, Dr. Jeffery has been a member of the Madison Symphony orchestra, served as principal viola of the Round Rock Symphony in Texas, and performed regularly with the Austin Symphony Orchestra. An active chamber musician, Dr. Jeffery helped to found the Quartet of Outsiders in Austin, TX, as well as being invited to appear as a guest artist with the Chamber Music in the Pines Festival, the Oakwood Chamber Players, and the Heart Strings Ensemble in Madison, WI. Currently, he serves as principal viola of the Illinois Symphony orchestra, and is a member of the Ursa Ensemble, a mixed chamber group in Chicago.

Kelly Quesada has played in professional orchestras around the country, including the Oregon Mozart Players, the Eugene, Huntsville, North Mississippi, and Tuscaloosa Symphonies, and is currently a co-principal cellist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Kelly also runs her own private studio as well as teaches beginning strings at Sistema Ravinia and chamber music for the Southside Suzuki Cooperative. Kelly has previously taught cello at Willamette University, the University of Oregon, and the Douglas County Youth Orchestra, where she served as assistant director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in cello performance from the University of Alabama and a Master’s from the University of Oregon, where she was the 2013 Outstanding Graduate Student in Strings.

Christopher Narloch has been teaching at his own studio in Ravenswood Manor Chicago since 2011, where he has 70 private students. As a passionate advocate for local contemporary classical music, he has been regularly collaborating with a wide range of musicians throughout the Chicago area for several years. He is the pianist for The Zafa Collective, and has performed with members of ensembles including Mocrep, Fonema Consort, Dal Niente, Quince, and Morton Feldman Chamber Players (MFCP). He also curates and hosts new music concerts at his studio. Christopher received degrees from Bowling Green State University and Viterbo University in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy.
