Isabelle Olivier is a composer, harpist, artistic director with a strong musical personality and a unique talent. She brings a special wave of freshness and novelty to the international artistic world with her surprising and unique instrument. She recorded eleven CDs and one DVD with her compositions and performed in 25 countries to present her projects. She composed four music scores for Agnes Varda – the Oscar Winner in 2000, 2003, 2004, and 2015.
In 2015, she has been awarded as the first composer for the prize “Villa Lenotre” at the King’s Garden in Versailles. In 2017, she was commissioned by the Art institute of Chicago for the exhibition “Gauguin, artist as alchemist” for composing, performing with her quintet.
In 2022, she celebrates her 30 years of performing and releases her 11th album “Smile”. She is selected by Villa Albertine for 2023 in Washington DC.
Thomas Olivier is a pianist and accordeonist, composer and arranger based in Los Angeles and Paris. He was raised in a family of well-known musicians and started music when he was 5. In 2016, he got a grant from the Berklee College of Music and started a new artistic chapter in Boston.
During his jazz and film music studies, he was appointed as a music tutor at Harvard University and was also playing every week at the legendary Wally’s Jazz Cafe. After a tour with Javon Jackson (Jazz Messengers, Elvin
Jones, Freddie Hubbard), he moved in Los Angeles and composed for The Voice China, France Television, Kansas City Museum or America Test Kitchen. Back to France, he composes and arranges music, and also often gets to play in cultural places.
