Institutional Sales

PianoForte Chicago has been actively engaged in institutional sales since its inception. We have worked with teachers, schools, colleges and universities, performance venues and churches throughout the wider Chicago area and sometimes beyond. Most importantly we have strong relationships with many of the local musicians and performers and have built a reputation through them.

Our institutional sales team is dedicated to supporting your needs, whether you need advice on how to maintain and upgrade your inventory over time or whether you are ready to purchase new and/or pre-owned instruments. We are happy to provide a free assessment of your current piano inventory, so that you can evaluate your options and build a strategy for improving the inventory.

PianoForte carries a wide array of instruments, starting with the full line of Yamaha acoustic and digital pianos. From the spectacular concert grand model CFX to the Conservatory C-series to the U-series of uprights, we can provide highly competitive institutional pricing on all. We are happy to participate in RFPs and bids. We have sold and installed several large piano labs with Yamaha’s state-of-the-art digital system MLC200 and. Clavinova instruments at universities and high schools in the area.

We also carry Fazioli pianos, one of the finest pianos handcrafted today, and have sold them for. stages at high schools and universities. We carry two German lines, C. Bechstein and Sauter. And we proudly offer high quality pre-owned pianos at different price points, whether you want a better piano at a lower price or simply cannot afford new pianos.

We are always available to offer presentations to teachers, administrators and students on such subjects as: piano technology, how technology can help with learning music or teaching music, history of pianos, and demonstrations of various kinds. We host meetings for music teachers and have held seminars. We frequently host the Piano Technicians Guild meetings.

PianoForte Studios also offers a 100-seat venue at our South Loop location, right below our showroom. The venue is state-of-the-art with the ability to record and live stream video, a projector and screen, live sound, and a 7′ Fazioli F212 piano on stage. This facility is often used for school auditions, for audition tapes, as well as for graduation recitals. It’s perfect for solo piano, chamber music, and small jazz combos.
