I’m M$ B’Havin has an Instagram following of over 69,000 and counting! For the first time, she is reaching out to her Instagram followers via a livestream performance with an hour of Cabaret entertainment filled with adapted music by many great performers such as, Vera Lee, Lu Barker, Saffire-the Uppity Blues Women, Koko Taylor and Aretha Franklin to name a few.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, I’m M$ B’Havin moved to the Chicago area in the 1970’s. While in Chicago, she worked for two Fortune 500 companies, met her husband, Paul, and married him in Long Grove, IL. Eventually, she and her husband were transferred elsewhere. She became a mother of two and raised her children in the Detroit area. Eventually, her children moved to Chicago, and graduated from Chicago Columbia College. In 2012, I’m M$ B’Havin and her husband decided to relocate back to Chicago, which they now call home!

In 2015, she was diagnosed with early stage one colon cancer and had surgery to remove the cancerous tumor. A year later, her husband had heart surgery. They both begin to question their lives, their lost dreams, things they had set aside for their own careers.

In 2018, a friend suggested, they both start going to Buddy Guy’s Legends to listen to the Blues and dance. Paul started playing at Monday night Jams at Buddy Guy’s Legends.

In 2020, the pandemic hit. Music was the thread that held their family together! Soon, it hit I’m M$ $’Havin: a cancer diagnosis, her husband’s heart surgery! Time was flying off the shelf and it was time to rekindle her own lost dreams.

Once things began to feel normal again, she mentioned her singing idea to Buddy Guy! He said, “Once you start singing, don’t stop!” She stepped out of the shower and onto the stage on February 8, 2023, at the age of 72, and hasn’t looked back.

Over the past three years, she has performed in Chicago at Buddy Guy’s Legends, Fuller’s Irish Pub, The Tonk, Stars & Garters, and the Marriott Naperville.

In 2025, I’m M$ B’Havin and her husband, Paul went with the Chicago Cabaret Connexion to Paris, France to attend workshops and perform.

I’m M$ B’Havin says, “You can teach an old dog new tricks. Plus, I am living my best life as an evolving, captivating mature cabaret diva entertainer!”

Her band, the $exagenarian$, are named because of the age group of 69-year-olds! She chose the name because it sounded nasty. Her band consists of over 40 years of Blues Legend musicians, who have travelled and played in packed arenas on stages all over the world with well-known artists, such as, Buddy Guy, The Dells, Jerry Butler, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, and Pitbull, to only name a few. Their music talent crosses into music genres of blues, jazz, rhythm ‘n blues, to funk.
