This beautifully restored Steinway B measures 6 feet, 11 inches and has a black satin finish. It was rebuilt at the Steinway factory and equipped with a brand new action and a new soundboard. It’s like a new Steinway B but better because of its vintage exterior and excellent structure from the heyday of Steinway manufacturing. This instrument is mellow and sweet, yet it can swell into a waterfall of sound.

This relatively new Steinway B was lovingly played and maintained by a piano lover who also had the hammers replaced with Abel hammers. While it has the typical Steinway sound, it also can generate more power from the hard pressed and slightly heavier hammers.

This Steinway M was brought back to its original beauty and provides glorious sound in a small package. The action was also rebuilt. Although it sports a hairline crack in the soundboard, there is no effect on the sound. This is a great buy for someone who wants to own his or her first, and maybe only, Steinway piano.

1920s Bechstein model C serial # 134512, beautifully rebuilt by Farley’s Pianos in Madison – Rosewood finish
This is an extraordinary piano from the time when Bechstein was at the top of its powers. Remember: legendary pianists such as Franz Liszt, Claude Debussy and Artur Schnabel owned pianos like this one. Artur Schnabel would not tour the US without a Bechstein and as a result stopped touring here. This piano has a golden tone, all clarity and singing, a very easy action, and its case was beautifully restored.

The Marco Polo was made in Japan in the 1980s. It is a diminutive (some would say “cute”) piano built for children. It has 75 keys and its size is maybe 3/4 of a regular piano. It has a matching bench. As far as the construction is concerned, it is a good instrument and produces a pleasing sound, very good for young piano students. Come and try it.
