Recording Studio In December 2004, PianoForte Chicago started producing recordings, primarily of solo piano repertoire, but also of voice and chamber music. The recording equipment allows us to record directly to a CD with very high quality sound as produced by the Fazioli pianos in an acoustically pleasing environment. Such recordings can be used as promotional material for artists, to submit for competitions and auditions, as a memento of a performance (student recitals for example), or as a gift for loved ones. The recordings can be further edited or manipulated with our software if needed. PianoForte Chicago uses the recording equipment to record the recitals which it presents itself. Because the recording quality has been vetted and appreciated by the classical radio station, segments of these live recordings are later broadcast on our local classical station, WFMT 98.7 FM. Our standard recording fee is $100 per hour (with a one hour minimum), but may vary according to the client's needs. We invite you to visit the space (seen below) which was originally designed as a drama studio in the late 1800s for Anna Morgan. Ibsen's play "The Wild Duck" was premiered on our stage. The space offers an intimate salon atmosphere one rarely finds outside of Europe with excellent acoustics and stage lighting, as well as the high-grade recording capability described above.
